Demonstrates positive attitude and progressive actions through the display of professionalism,courtesy and appropriate tact and discretion in all interactions with other employees and with thepublicProvide and maintain software and hardware maintenance of the operational processesLiaison between any external agencies as it relates to informational technologyProvide technical support to HSO employeesAssist with the installation and inlplementation of systemsRead technical manuals, confer with users and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate or resolve problems and to provide technical assistance and supportEnsure data integrity and confidentialityProvide training to HSO employees on service equipmentDevelop and maintain systems for continuous operation to prevent interruption to IT service and loss of productivityProvide input and recommendation to the organization surrounding hardware and softwaretechnologies and how these technologies can assist HSO in being proactive with new technologyDevelops and monitor performance levels of software and hardware and evaluates, recommends and propose alternative methods of information processingMaintain hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operations processes Set up, management and maintenance of IT related equipmentManage time and projects effectivelyMaintain provided certifications received from and through HSO and the City of HamptonEnsure that standard licenses are met and fulfilled for computersEnsure operating systems are up-to-date to handle the workloadMaintain the confidentiality of passwords and content of information observedAdheres to HSO Electronic Communications Policy and ProcedureProvides necessary documents for inspections and accreditationsResponsible for conducting vehicle inspections and reporting deficienciesAdheres to all policies, procedures, guidelines and directives of the office on an ongoing basis Be dependable and meet acceptable attendance requirements at all timesProtects confidential information by preventing unauthorized release, both verbal and/or writing Disseminates information as it is given by the Department's AdministrationWhen applicable, commend and/or follow disciplinary actions for all deputy sheriffsFollows all Federal, State and Local lawsPerforms any other tasks as required
